Leak detection specialists, based in Brighton
Mr Leak exists because of one recurring, expensive story: a homeowner with a damp patch, a general plumber with a bolster chisel, and a floor that comes up before anybody has established where the water is actually coming from.
Who we are
Detection is a separate trade
Finding a leak and fixing a leak are two different skills, and most of the cost of an escape of water is incurred by people who are good at the second one attempting the first. A general plumber is not badly intentioned when they lift a floor under a stain; they simply do not have a thermal camera, a correlator and a tracer gas rig in the van, so the only diagnostic tool available is demolition.
We do nothing but detection, repair and reporting. That means the equipment is on board on every single visit rather than hired in when a job looks big enough to justify it, and it means the engineer arriving at your door has done this thousands of times rather than as an occasional sideline.
We work from Brighton across 74 towns, cities and boroughs in Sussex, Surrey and London, for homeowners, landlords, managing agents, loss adjusters and facilities teams.

How we work
Four things we will not compromise on
- 01
Find it before you break it
Non-invasive methods first, every time. An opening only gets made once the evidence points at one specific place, and the size of that opening is the honest measure of how good the survey was.
- 02
Publish the price
Our rates are on the website, not quoted on the doorstep after we have seen the car on the drive. There is no call-out fee and no emergency surcharge.
- 03
Prove it, do not assert it
Every finding comes with the reading that supports it. Calibrated moisture figures, dated photographs and a stated methodology — the standard a loss adjuster works to.
- 04
Say when it is not us you need
A fair share of the calls we take turn out to be condensation, a blocked gutter or a failed seal that costs a few pounds to sort out. We say so on the phone, for free, rather than booking a survey nobody needed.
Think you have a leak? Let us find it.
Non-invasive survey, same-day response and a written report your insurer will accept. No call-out fee, and no charge for advice over the phone.
